What should our movement focus on in the first year of Trump’s presidency? This is the first of 4 identical questions.
We want to know what our top 4 marching orders should be. Please answer the next four identical questions by selecting an issue that is most important to you.
Educational Justice - We will not tolerate an unequal education system that continuously deprives poor and rural kids and kids of color from quality schooling. The institution has failed us with the rise of the school to prison pipeline and few opportunit
LGBTQ+ Rights - Bathroom bills that target trans folk are atrocious. Any employer or business that does not treat its LGBTQ+ workers and customers with the same dignity and respect as their straight peers should be shut down.
Immigration Rights - America was founded by people who were undocumented, unapologetic and unafraid—We must protect and provide a pathway to citizenship for our undocumented brothers and sisters.
Womyn's Rights - Let's shatter the glass ceiling. Womyn are powerful and deserve equal pay, the right to make decisions about their own bodies, and leaders who fight to end toxic rape culture.
Climate Change - We do not have time nor patience for climate deniers or those who stand in the way of clean energy. We must develop a clean, green economy and become global leaders in the drive for renewable energy.
Black Lives Matter - We affirm that black lives do matter. We will trash any system that actively or passively marginalizes, diminishes or is a barrier to full equality.
Healthcare - Health care is a fundamental human right. The right to health care includes access to timely, affordable and quality prevention and treatment. We will not rest until there is a single payer health care system.
Civil Rights and Liberties - Our basic civil liberties are under attack. Voting rights are being slashed—especially for young people and people of color. We demand a free and accessible press, which includes protecting our right to communicate freely.
Income Inequality- We refuse to live in a country that boasts the largest amount of wealth in the world while holding the title for most unequal.
Gun Violence Prevention - We demand common sense laws that keep guns out of the hands of children, criminals and the mentally ill. Safety will not be a matter of chance, and we will not live in fear.
